WHY WENXIN CHINA

We don't show you China. We let you be part of one of its days.

Over the last 12 years, 1,280 travellers have walked Beijing hutongs, Guizhou Miao villages, the herb markets of Anguo and the kora around Mount Kailash with us. They came home with a crooked bowl they fired themselves, a written pulse diagnosis, and an afternoon of silence in a debating courtyard — not a postcard.

We do one thing: turn "depth" into hours, into a named master, into a headcount cap. Never into an adjective.

• Every itinerary publishes its real hands-on hours — 18 to 32 on average, not a 20-minute demo
• Every maker's name, rank and years in practice is published and verifiable
• Workshops are capped at six people, never filled with walk-ins
• Tibet and border permits handled in full, with copies in your hands before departure

— CULTURAL JOURNEYS

Six themes, one shared rule: you show up

Each theme is a full system — a narrative hub, sub-experiences, bookable itineraries, named masters and a cluster of deep-read guides.

01

Living Heritage

Ceramics, textiles, tea, paper and opera. You spend five consecutive days at the wheel — not twenty minutes behind a shop window.

02

TCM & Wellbeing

Pulse diagnosis with senior physicians, herb identification in Anguo and Bozhou, tai chi retreats and food-therapy kitchens.

03

Buddhist Paths

Stay inside a monastery, attend 4am prayers, sit through a debating session and walk the kora around Mount Kailash.

04

Family Discovery

Workshops where your children actually make things, hutong homestays, architecture treasure hunts and panda reserve days.

05

Learning Journeys

School exchanges, heritage study programs, Mandarin immersion camps and STEM visits — with certificates where needed.

06

Corporate Culture

Enterprise visits, business school study trips, incentive travel with cultural depth, and full MICE execution.

— MUSEUM DEEP DIVES

Thirty-four regions. One flagship museum each.

China adds a museum a day. We narrowed 6,000 to the institutions that actually change how you read this country — then built the access around them: first-entry slots, conservation laboratories, storage drawers and curators who hold a post in their field.

✓  Beijing to Urumqi, every provincial flagship listed with its signature object

✓  Storage rooms and labs applied for 60–180 days ahead, groups of six or fewer

✓  Ten-day pre-read pack so the galleries make sense before you land

— MEET THE MASTERS

The soul of a route is a specific person

We publish every partner's name, credentials and location. You know who you'll learn from before you book.

Master Li

Blue-and-white porcelain · Jingdezhen

41 years at the wheel. He directed the reproduction of Yuan-dynasty blue-and-white, and he will tell you why a crooked bowl is proof it was made by hand.

Dr. Wen Xiaoping

Senior TCM physician · Anguo

28 years in a Grade-A hospital. She demonstrates the full four examinations on you, then explains them in your language.

Khenpo Tsering

Tibetan Buddhist scholar · Derge

He takes guests into the debating courtyard not to perform, but to sit and follow the logic of every gesture.

Ayang

Miao embroidery & batik · Danzhai, Guizhou

She speaks no English. When she hands you the wax knife, you understand that this particular thing needs no language at all.

— HOW IT WORKS

From "I'd like to see it" to wheels up

Tell us your curiosity

One thing you want to understand — "what did Chinese doctors rely on before penicillin", or simply "I need ten quiet days".

Draft in 24 hours

Your trip designer returns a first itinerary within 24 hours: day by day, matched makers, budget range. Free, no payment, no commitment.

Refine until it's yours

Guests average 3.2 revisions. What we change isn't the dates — it's whether the master on day three is the right one for you.

Go deep, travel safe

A dedicated guide throughout, a 24/7 support line, and every permit completed before you fly. You arrive holding only a boarding pass.

— DESTINATIONS

12 regions · 4 heritage corridors

Every destination hub carries the same structure: cultural overview → themed itineraries → bookable workshops → deep-read guides → enquiry form.

Beijing · Xi'an · Shanghai & Jiangnan · Chengdu

Classic China

Palaces, hutongs and water towns. We keep 30% of the time for the people who actually live there.

Guizhou · Yunnan · Guangxi

Ethnic Southwest

China's densest region of living craft: Miao silver, Dong song, indigo batik, ancient tea forests.

Lhasa · Amdo · Kham

Tibetan Plateau

Buddhist halls, high grasslands and deep gorges. Every official permit handled before you fly.

Dunhuang · Jingdezhen · Fujian Tulou · Shanxi

Heritage Trails

Four corridors built around UNESCO sites and working craft workshops.
